How we handle your information
Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 10, 2026.
1. Who We Are and What This Policy Covers
J R Air Duct Cleaning has been cleaning air ducts, dryer vents and mini-split systems out of the same shop at 215 Gates Rd #D in Little Ferry, New Jersey since 2011. We serve homes and businesses across Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Morris and Union Counties.
This policy explains what information we collect when you visit jrairductcleaning.com, request a quote, book an appointment, or call or text our office, why we collect it, and the choices you have about it. It is intended to comply with applicable New Jersey and federal privacy law, and it is governed by New Jersey law. If anything below is unclear, call us at (201) 335-2524 or reach us through our contact page.
2. Information We Collect
When you fill out a quote or contact form on our homepage, our contact page, or any of our service pages, we ask for:
- First name and last name
- Phone number and email address
- Your town or city
- Which service you are interested in
- Any notes you want to add about the job
First name, phone number and email address are required to submit a form; the rest are optional. When a form is submitted, our site also automatically records the date and time, which page the form came from, the IP address the submission came from, and your browser's user agent. That last part is standard technical information every website receives when a form is submitted, and we use it only to route the lead correctly and to catch spam, not to build a profile of you.
If you call or text our office directly instead of using a form, we only keep whatever information you choose to share with us over the phone.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you give us to respond to your quote request, schedule and confirm appointments, communicate with you about the status of your job, and keep our own scheduling and bookkeeping records. We do not use it to make automated decisions about you, and we do not use it to build an advertising profile.
4. Text Messaging Consent
Our forms include two separate text messaging consent checkboxes, and we only send you the category of texts you actually agree to. Neither checkbox is pre-checked, and agreeing to receive marketing texts is never required to get a quote or book service with us.
Service and appointment texts (required to submit a form)
"By checking this box, I consent to receive text messages from J R Air Duct Cleaning about my estimate request, appointment scheduling, and service updates. Message frequency varies, message & data rates may apply. Text HELP for assistance, reply STOP to opt out."
Marketing texts (optional)
"By checking this box, I consent to receive marketing and promotional messages, including special offers, discounts, new product updates among others from J R Air Duct Cleaning at the phone number provided. Frequency may vary. Message & data rates may apply. Text HELP for assistance, reply STOP to opt out."
You can withdraw either consent at any time by replying STOP to any text we send, or by calling (201) 335-2524 and asking us to stop.
5. Booking, Analytics and Other Tools We Use
Online booking on our site runs through Housecall Pro (book.housecallpro.com), an outside scheduling platform. When you book an appointment through that link, you are on Housecall Pro's site and subject to its own privacy practices in addition to ours, so it is worth a look at their policy too.
Our site uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta Platforms, Inc., the company behind Facebook and Instagram. When you open a page on our site, the Meta Pixel tells Meta which page you viewed, along with standard technical details such as your IP address, browser and device, and it may set or read cookies in your browser. Meta may connect this to your Facebook or Instagram account if you have one. We use it to measure how well our Facebook and Instagram ads work and to show our ads to people who have visited our site. It does not send Meta anything you type into our quote form. Meta handles this information under its own privacy policy.
You can limit how Meta uses your visits for ads in your Facebook ad preferences, opt out of interest-based ads from many companies at optout.aboutads.info, or block or delete cookies in your browser settings. None of these affect your ability to use our site or reach us for service.
We may also use standard website analytics, such as Google Analytics run through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it. As of this policy's effective date that analytics has not been turned on, but this policy is written to cover it once it is. Neither the Meta Pixel nor any analytics will ever be used to sell your personal information.
6. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in two situations: with the service providers that help us run the business, such as our scheduling and booking platform and the tools we use to call, text or email you back, or when we are required to by law, subpoena or court order. Apart from the website visit data the Meta Pixel sends to Meta, described in section 5, we do not hand your information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
7. Your Privacy Choices
As a small, locally owned business we collect a modest amount of information, mainly names and contact details from people requesting quotes, and we never sell it, so we likely fall below the consumer-volume thresholds that trigger the New Jersey Data Privacy Act's requirements for larger companies. We are following its spirit anyway, because it is the right way to run this business.
You can ask us at any time what information we have on file for you, or ask us to delete it, by calling (201) 335-2524 or submitting a request through our contact page. We will confirm what we have and act on reasonable requests within a reasonable time. You can also opt out of marketing texts at any time, as described above, without affecting your ability to reach us for service.
8. Data Security, Retention and Children's Privacy
We keep the information you send us only as long as we need it to handle your request, service your job, and meet our own recordkeeping obligations, and we take reasonable steps to protect it from unauthorized access. No method of storing or transmitting data online is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Our services are meant for adults arranging home or business service, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy, Governing Law and How to Reach Us
We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. The effective date at the top will always reflect the most recent version. This policy, and any dispute about it, is governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey.
Questions about this policy or how we handle your information can go to (201) 335-2524 or our contact page. Our office is at 215 Gates Rd #D, Little Ferry, NJ 07643.
